What happens when you stop trying to make people understand what they already had enough information to understand?
We are taught that relationships are voluntary until the relationship is family. Then history becomes obligation, blood becomes continued access, and “that's just how they are” becomes an expectation that everyone else should keep adjusting around behavior that one person has never been required to change.
