Receiving an infilling of the magnificent mercy of God is one of the most powerful privileges and glorious gifts that the Creator could ever bestow. God delights in mercy, but there are certain key attitudes that open that door of blessing and breakthrough. On this episode, Mike Shreve shares one of the most miraculous manifestations he ever witnessed in an open air prayer gathering in India and how the mercy of God was poured out even on those who intended to kill him for his beliefs. Jesus compares His eternal bride to a “pearl of great price.” This is one of the great mysteries of the kingdom of God. A pearl is encased in an oyster shell, which frankly is one of the ugliest shells in the sea. Yet it contains a sought-after jewel of great beauty and value. What a heartwarming revelation of the identity and nature of God's people and the pearl-producing-process preparing us for our eternal destiny. Heaven’s standard for “greatness” is much different than earth’s. In this world, the rich, the famous, the popular, the knowledgeable, the influential, the successful are often the ones labeled “the great.” Although these attributes do not disqualify anyone from becoming part of God’s family, they are definitely not the dominant traits He looks for. Remember, Jesus set a humble child in their midst and talked about this mystery. God promises to “divide the spoil with the strong” in Isaiah 53:12. That name is bestowed on all who receive the benefits of the crucifixion and resurrection of the Son of God. Three biblically-revealed sources of strength make God’s people invincible, unconquerable, and everlastingly victorious. No wonder Scripture commands, “Let the weak say, I AM STRONG”. This revelation will be a spiritual awakening for you. God’s people are described as “sons of the mighty” in Psalm 89:6. Our Father is the Almighty (the all-powerful, all-sufficient God). The Holy Spirit is the “Spirit of might” who dwells within us, strengthening us with “might” in the inner man. We have weapons of warfare that are “mighty through God.” No wonder we are even called “the mighty.” Overcoming this world and its darkness is simply part of our spiritual DNA. Powerful revelation! Christians often assign the image of a ferocious lion to Satan while envisioning themselves as defenseless, vulnerable lambs. However, the image of a lion is used far more often to describe the Messiah and His covenant people than the prince of darkness. Once we truly hear the roar of the Lion of Judah, we will be awakened to our own lion calling, manifesting this symbol of bravery, fearlessness, dominion, and victory. Christians have inherited eight famous biblical mountains! Well, not literally, but figuratively. These “mountains” are high points in the spiritual history of humanity, times of divine intervention, when God came down to earth and lifted His people into “peak revelations” of His redemptive plan. Usually, these events happened on literal physical mountains, so the natural setting symbolized a deep spiritual reality. What a powerful revelation! Just before ascending to heaven, Jesus revealed a primary name, a powerful title, that would rest upon His New Covenant followers. He declared, “You shall be My witnesses.” How needful this is! Witnesses are those who verify a story because they have personal knowledge about the matter. In a world full of religious deception, those who have personal knowledge of the truth must be outspoken and bold, always ready to penetrate the darkness with light. Those who fulfill this calling join the ranks of world changers and history makers. If you are “in Christ,” the “automatic download” you receive is out of this world (literally). Key biblical phrases like “in Him,” “in Christ,” and “in the Lord” indicate the benefits you receive the moment you become a child of God under the Lordship of Jesus. Ephesians 1:11 declares “in Him we have obtained an inheritance.” But you can’t partake of an inheritance until you are aware of it. Let’s lay claim to it today together and start living a more victorious life!
