This hour, we turn our attention to the Zambezi region, where a major political development has shaken local governance. Minister of Urban and Rural Development, James Sankwasa, has dissolved the entire Katima Mulilo Town Council, citing failure to implement his directives and governance irregularities. The move, announced in a government gazette, has caught even some council members by surprise, including the mayor, who said he had no prior knowledge of the dismissal.
Joining us now is Simasiku Chripher, one of the councillors affected by this dissolution, to share his perspective on what happened and what this means for the people of Katima Mulilo.
