Why the Classic Car Scene Might Not Survive | Real Talk with Riddler Winner JF Kustoms

Dan sits down with special guest JF from Killer Customs to tackle the big question: Where is the classic car industry headed? From rising costs to shifting mentalities, they dive into what’s changing, what’s worth preserving, and how we can all help keep the hot rod spirit alive. Whether you're building on a budget, dreaming big, or just trying to keep your project running—this one’s for the true gearheads. Expect honest talk, some laughs, and a few spicy takes on the future of our favorite hobby.

They Drive Their Hot Rods – So We Bought a Supercharger to Keep Up

We met some absolute legends this week—real hot rodders who actually drive their builds, not just polish them. Between burnouts, roadside chats, and some seriously thoughtful gifts in the mail, we are just so blessed. Oh, and in true DD Speed Shop fashion, we celebrated by buying another completely unnecessary supercharger. Because obviously, that’s what you do when you're feeling inspired and slightly unhinged.

I'm Tired Of Building Hot Rods- Where do we go from here?

In this episode, we talk about what happens when you've built all the hot rods you ever wanted — and somehow still find yourself driving across Provinces to pick up another rusty junker. Are we addicted to the build? Is the chase better than the prize? Or are we just bad at relaxing? Buckle up for some existential grease-stained rambling, road trip chaos, and the one car we swore we didn’t need… but bought anyway.

And Just Like That- Everything Went Wrong!

Well, the title kinda says it all doesn't it. Much like the stories we are telling today, the podcast also has everything go wrong with it today- lawn mowers, dying cameras, audio weirdness! But hey, that's hot rodding for ya! And just like we talk about in today's episode, it's all about getting over the hurdles and moving forward.

Power Tour Was A No-Go, We've Got Enough Chaos Here!

After a long podcast nap, we’re back—in this episode, we talk about why we ghosted, what’s different now, why we didn't end up on Power Tour and what chaos you can expect coming up!
