THE SIX STEPS | Episode 68 ☮️ Daily Peacemaker

THE SIX STEPS | Episode 68 ☮️ Daily Peacemaker The Six Steps refers to the six steps in the Kingian nonviolent approach to resolving conflicts. The six steps work hand in glove with the six principles. This podcast explains what the six steps are and how they would work in a given situation. https://dailypeacemaker.com/2026/10/05/the-six-steps/

THE ARC OF JUSTICE

In this podcast we talk about the sixth principle of Kingian nonviolence, "The Moral Arch of the Universe Bends Towards Justice. I consider it the foundation of the other five principles because if you don't believe that there is a force in both the Universe and each of us that is moving us toward creating a culture of peace and justice then it is hard to practice the other principles. Learn more about this by checking out this podcast.

THE POWER OF FORGIVENESS.

The fifth principle of Kingian Nonviolence is "Avoid the internal violence of the spirit as well as external physical violence." One of the best ways to do this is to use the power of forgiveness. To understand this at a deeper take a few minutes and check out this podcast.

TAKE ONE FOR THE TEAM

The fourth principle of Kingian Nonviolence encourages us to not seek revenge when we feel someone has offended us. Seeking revenge only adds to the ongoing circle of violence begetting more violence. Check out this episode and let me know what you think.

IT'S THE BEHAVIOR, NOT THE PERSON

he third principle of Kingian nonviolence is "Attack the behavior, not the person." I think this is the most difficult principle to follow because we seem to have an almost natural tendency to "attack" or castigate the person when we offended by what they say, or do, or believe. Check the podcast out and let me know what you think.

THE BELOVED COMMUNITY

The second principle of Kingian nonviolence is" The Beloved Community is the framework of the future." This podcast explains what the Beloved Community is and what we can do to create it.

THE COURAGE OF NONVIOLENCE | Episode 62 ☮️ Daily Peacemaker

Living nonviolently means you are willing to step outside of your comfort zone when necessary. Also, people will call you weak, passive, and naive. You might lose friends or family members who don't like your views and attitudes on different issues. Are you ready for that?

LEVELS OF VIOLENCE

We have all experienced arguments or disagreements that have quickly escalated into serious levels of violence. The results of which can be disastrous for all involved. That being, said it is important to understand the different levels of conflict and what can be done at each level to stop the rising tide of violence.

WHAT IS NONVIOLENCE?

Nonviolence is not just the absence of violence. It is best understood as a way of life that honors and respects the inherent worth and dignity of all beings; seeks to resolve conflicts nonviolently and works to create a culture where one feels safe and has their basic needs meet. It is also a science, a skill and an art.

MY VIOLENCE | Episode 59 ☮️ Daily Peacemaker

Seems after every mass shooting you hear a number of similar responses. There is "offering prayers", "This is unacceptable", "We need better gun control laws". Then there are all the theories on social media. "It's those liberal leftists" or "it's those radical conservatives." The one thing we don't hear is people talking about their own propensity for violence. That is sadly ironic because the one thing we can do about this is to learn to live our lives less violently today than we did yesterday.
