From a young age, Phil knew he wanted to be part of the film industry. With his mother’s support, he attended film school, where he met his best friend and business partner, Abel Mutua (Mkurugenzi). While still a student, Phil landed an acting role on the hit TV show Tahidi High, later becoming a director on the show and then directing another fan favourite, Mother In Law.
