Launch Pad: Designing Life Beyond Eart
Welcome to the very first episode of Cosmic Design: Funky Spaces & Galactic Places—your launchpad into the design of life beyond Earth. In this premiere, host Mary E introduces the show’s big questions: how might we design homes, cities, and everyday experiences in space, and what can we learn from science fiction, architecture, and actual space habitats here on Earth. Mary E walks you through the vision of the podcast, shares some of her favorite “cosmic” design moments, and sets the tone for a series that’s equal parts playful, speculative, and grounded in real design thinking. Whether you’re a designer, a space enthusiast, or just curious about the future of living places, this episode is your first step into funky spaces and galactic places.
