In the first of a two-part message, Dr. Rocky Ramsey reveals what happens when we believe that Jesus is not enough. Colossians 2:8-10 reminds us that in Christ "all the fullness of Deity dwells in bodily form" and that in Him we have been made complete.
When Jesus isn't enough, we begin craving experiences. We look for something more. And when we are convinced that what we have is not enough, we can become vulnerable to anything that promises to give us more.
But Jesus is not merely a feeling, an experience, or an addition to our lives. Jesus is God. Jesus is who we get. And salvation is having Jesus.
For young families, for longtime Christians, and for anyone who has ever wondered whether their faith should feel like something more, this message asks a deeply important question: Are we seeking Jesus—or seeking an experience?
Because if Jesus is not enough, then perhaps we do not really have Jesus.
