That was a messy night. About an inch of snow fell across much of the state. And now light drizzle lingers with temperatures hovering right at freezing. Watch for black ice this morning, especially on untreated surfaces. A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect for Litchfield County until 7 A.M. Here's the good news. That wintry mix pulls away by daybreak. Patchy fog lingers through mid-morning, but skies turn partly sunny this afternoon. Highs reach 47 degrees along the coast, 46 in central Connecticut. And 49 out east. That's right where we should be for early March.
In the next 24 hours. Tonight, the full moon shines through breaking clouds. Lows drop to 26 degrees inland and 31 along the shore. Patchy fog redevelops late.
