Rev. Dr. Michael Rogers is from South Carolina. He has been serving in ministry for over 25 years as a Baptist minister. He has served as a parish pastor in Texas, New York, South Carolina, and Arkansas. He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Columbia International University in Pastoral Ministries and Bible. He earned a Master of Theology degree in Urban Ministries from Dallas Theological Seminary, where he received the Presidential Scholarship and the Ruben Connor Award for African American Evangelism and Discipleship. He recently graduated from Colgate Rochester Divinity School with a Doctorate of Ministry in Transformative Leadership. His dissertation topic was “Transformed by Clinical Pastoral Education, an invitation to all who are called.” He was awarded the Jean and Gene Barlett Preaching Award for leadership in Transformative Preaching. He has been in chaplaincy for 10 years and served as Spiritual Coordinator for the oncology department at Spartanburg Regional Hospital. The North American Mission Board endorses him. He is a certified educator through the Association of Clinical Pastoral Education. In 2019, he became the Clinical Pastoral Educator for Baptist Health Medical Center, Little Rock, AR. In 2020, he was promoted to Director of Pastoral Care for Baptist Health System. Rev. Dr. Rogers serves as the Senior Pastor of New Birth Missionary Baptist Church, Little Rock, AR. Michael is a proud initiate of the Pi Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated. He is married to Dr. Teresa Rogers (formerly Hall of Tampa, FL), who serves as director of the Foundations program at Central Arkansas Christian and professor at Pulaski Technical College. They are proud parents of one daughter, Michaela Lynn Rogers, an 11th grader at Central Arkansas Christian School.
