The Church today still thinks that if something unclean touches you, it infects you, and now you are unclean too. So, we keep our distance from brokenness. We avoid messy people. We protect our image. We separate ourselves from weakness and failure because deep down we fear their condition might somehow become ours. But with Jesus, something different happens. Because when Jesus touches something, He doesn’t improve your condition. He restores your identity.
Praying in the Spirit fastens our hearts to the love of God. Holy Spirit wants you to experience more of Him with a deep connection.
Have you ever been completely captivated by someone or something? God's gaze consistently penetrates the center of who we really are, beholding us with the eyes of a lover.
We can only give what we are in possession of. If Jesus did not have peace, rest, stillness on the inside, He would have no peace, rest or stillness to give to the storm.
