Isaiah 13-14;22; 24-30;35: Come Follow Me Lesson Ideas for Primary, Sep. 21-27
Joyfully Reverent describes this Junior Primary lesson! They will celebrate the Resurrection and understand how Jesus Christ overcame death and hell. Sing “Gethsemane" together and then use a fun object lesson with two “monsters,” and let the children rip them up and celebrate Christ’s victory. Finish with a joyful reminder that because of Jesus Christ, we can all be resurrected—and yes, you may even have to play “pick the magic trash” afterward! Senior Primary will discover that Jesus Christ can restore what is lost or broken through a partner scripture study and simple graphic organizer. Kids read a parable, retell it in their own words, answer questions about Jesus Christ, and share a personal experience before teaching their story to a small group. This activity is packed with scaffolding—partners, teacher support, a graphic organizer, and smaller groups help kids feel successful doing something that might otherwise feel hard. These kids need lots of practice teaching before YM and YW and these kind of activities prepare them.

Proverbs; Ecclesiastes: Come Follow Me Lesson Ideas for Primary, Sep. 7-13
Help children learn that getting angry is normal, but we can choose what we do with those feelings. Using figurines and pretend-play scenarios, Jr. Primary kids practice being quick to do helpful things and slow to anger. They will act out different situations and respond with actions that are quick, slow, and soft. Senior primary learners will practice being peacemakers when they encounter anger and contention around them. After reading a scripture from Proverbs about controlling anger, partners will act out a scenario where a friend is angry and practice using the scripture’s wisdom to help “cool the fiery darts” before someone reacts rashly. Both of these activities T gives children a fun, low-pressure way to practice using gospel principles in real-life situations!

5th Sunday: Appendix B- Preparing Children for a Lifetime on God's Covenant Path
This week the Junior Primary will learn six ways they can recognize how Heavenly Father communicates with them through the Holy Ghost. Children receive a paper with six boxes and draw a picture in each box after watching you act out a different way Heavenly Father can speak to them inspired by great a great Friend article that is linked in the Appendix and HERE. Senior Primary will try to answer this question: How does being baptized and taking Jesus Christ’s name upon us change the way we live? Turn the classroom into a gallery walk! Students quietly rotate through six posters about baptismal covenants, reading examples and anonymously writing how they can live each covenant in their own lives. Job: Primary Come Follow Me Lesson Ideas , Aug. 10-16
Hi! Come join us for another interactive Primary lesson ideas. This week Junior Primary will play "Mingle to Music" while learning different ways Jesus is a good friend! Each child gets a picture representing a quality of Jesus, practices the phrase “Jesus is a ___ friend,” and then shares it with a new friend when the music stops. Senior Primary gets interviews by their teachers- reporters from Channel 3 in Galilee. In pairs, children study a picture of something Jesus did, imagine if they were there, and prepare for an interview. They answer questions about what happened, how it made them feel, and what the story teaches them about trusting Jesus.

July 13-19: Primary and Youth, Come Follow Me Lesson Ideas - 2nd Kings 16-25
Junior and Senior Primary learn about King Josiah and his love for scriptures. Then Junior Primary practices seeing how the scriptures teach us about Jesus Christ. Teaching Tip: How to plan a Magnificent, Inspiring and Kid-friendly Lesson
Do you ever sit down to plan a lesson and wonder where to start? In this episode, I share the simple 5-step framework that guides my lesson planning and helps me create engaging, Christ-centered learning experiences for children. We'll talk about shifting our focus from "What will I teach?" to "What will my students do to learn?", using effective hooks, helping children discover doctrine in scripture stories, creating opportunities for application and practice, and always connecting learning back to Jesus Christ. Whether you teach in Primary, youth classes, family scripture study, or another gospel setting, these principles can help you create lessons that invite participation, discovery, and conversion. My hope is not that you'll copy every idea, but that the Holy Ghost will inspire you with ideas tailored to the children you teach. They are worth our creativity, preparation, and effort as we help them apply the doctrine of Jesus Christ in their own lives! Join me as we explore a simple approach to lesson planning that can help children become active learners and disciples of Jesus Christ.

June 15-21: Primary and Youth Come Follow Me Lesson Ideas - 1 Samuel 17-18: 24-26; 2 Samual 5-7
This week's Come Follow Me lesson for Junior Primary has the kids drawing David getting. help from Jesus to defeat a lion and a bear! Then they apply it to themselves and draw how the Lord can help them with hard things. Senior Primary will be collecting 5 stones from Sister Spannuas' amazing talk about David and Goliath.

June 1-7: Primary and Youth Come Follow Me Lesson Ideas- Ruth, 1 Samuel 1-7
Both ideas this week for "Come Follow Me" focus on teaching children how to recognize the Holy Ghost. Junior primary has a special guest, a puppet! He helps the kids understand how he feels the Spirit. The kids get to practice identifying what they feel when they sing songs or look at pictures of Jesus around the room. Senior Primary kids will get to choose their own adventure! This lesson is all about them choosing their own path, creativity and following the spirit to teach the class about the principle or doctrine in their resource. In partnerships or groups, they read a scripture or paragraph about the Holy Ghost and figure out how to teach it to someone else. Here are the directions you can print out or write on the board so they can refer to them later. Read the resource with your group. Decide on how to teach everyone else to feel the holy ghost or invite him into our lives to the class- Some options: A poem. A role play. A drawing. A diagram. A song. Make sure each person in your group has a job and participates.

May 18-24: Come Follow Me lesson ideas - Joshua 1-8; 23-24
Join us for some student led lesson ideas for Come Follow Me! Junior Primary will be knocking down the walls of Jericho with a scripture friend that can help them remember faith and trust in Jesus. Senior Primary will design an ad for "The Friend" magazine trying to help kids remember the blessings of reading their scriptures.
