Translating Energy into Art with Sestra Kuya

The climate space is always talking about energy and electricity - but what would it mean to truly embody and feel connected to our future grid? Artistic duo Sestra Kuya presents an answer through transforming electricity into gorgeous paintings, reminding you to sit on the ledge of what’s possible. Through synthesizing two disparate artistic backgrounds, Si Golraine and Gerry Gonzalez create an unexpected vision of energy’s full potential, inviting you to lean in and become part of their co-creation. I sat down with them to talk about their artistic journeys, how spirituality influences their work, and what’s next for their nascent art form.
