In this expositional sermon on John 9:18-41, we see that the investigation of the healed man reveals a deeper miracle than restored eyesight: the opening of spiritual eyes. Though confronted with undeniable evidence, the Pharisees refuse even to acknowledge the miracle, fulfilling the warning of Isaiah that some would see yet not perceive. Meanwhile the man once blind comes to recognize Jesus as the Son of Man and falls before Him in worship. The scene exposes a sobering truth; without the light that God alone gives, even the most religious can remain blind, while those whom Christ enlightens come to see and believe.
