#15 - Paul Zimmer - Island Missions - Breaking caste systems in Micronesia - his story of using a sawmill and solar power as access
The islanders refuse access to Westerners. Unless you have a beneficial reason to come - then they beg you to show up. That is BAM at work - using skills and talents God gave to create access. Guest Bio: Paul Zimmer is a missionary, innovator, and founder of Faith Baptist Church and Faith Christian Academy on Yap Island, Micronesia. With a background in electrical engineering and theology, Paul has uniquely blended his skills to serve remote communities since 2001. He pioneered the use of a sawmill and later solar energy to build both relationships and infrastructure, overcoming cultural barriers with practical solutions. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Paul shifted focus to a solar business in the US, funding ongoing ministry efforts back in Yap.
