Courtship through the ages
This documentary focuses on the idea of ‘courtship’ through three different generations, interwoven with the changing position of women and society through these years. My own interest in this topic probably comes from listening to my own grandmother over the years and my own interest in female-centric social issues and norms. Whilst it’s not a new idea I think it’s never been more prevalent in society as right now in 2020 where ‘courtship’ is now carried out virtually for many, it’s also interesting how this shift will impact future generations – so it seems timely to look back over the evolution of courtship.
