It wasn't just Ralph Nader trying to make cars safer; starting in the '40s, a few enterprising individuals dreamt up concepts for safer cars (with varying levels of success), and things really got moving with the Experimental Safety Vehicles program in the '70s. This week we learn about some of the more interesting and wacky cars that tried to make roads a little less dangerous.
