Mike Sears is the Director and lead investigator of Volunteer State Paranormal Research.

Growing up, he had paranormal experiences. While in Melbourne, Florida, he had a very vivid experience hat set him on the path to learning more about the possibility of life after death.

As a paranormal investigator, Sears has investigated Waverly Hills Sanatorium in Louisville, Kentucky, and Sloss Furnace in Birmingham, Alabama. Sears has won a Best in Spirit Photography award from the International Paranormal Acknowledgement Awards.
