Built Not Wished Special Announcement Episode
Built Not Wished Is Becoming Part of Crusade with Me! For the past several months, we've been building something together. Built Not Wished was created around a simple idea: that nothing meaningful in life appears by accident. Strength isn't wished into existence. Discipline isn't wished into existence. Purpose isn't wished into existence. The life you want is built—one decision, one habit, one day at a time. That message resonated with many of you, and I am incredibly grateful for every listener who joined me on this journey. But over the last few months, I've come to an important realization. The lessons we've been exploring on Built Not Wished were never separate from the message that first inspired me to start podcasting. They were simply another expression of it. Years ago, I launched Crusade with Me! as a place to discuss faith, purpose, courage, personal growth, suffering, victory, and what it means to live intentionally. That show grew into more than 150 episodes and developed an audience that continued listening even after new episodes stopped being released. As I reviewed the numbers, reflected on the future, and considered where I wanted to invest my energy, a question kept returning: Why am I trying to build two communities when both are seeking the same destination? The answer became impossible to ignore. Built Not Wished and Crusade with Me! are not competing ideas. They're companions. They belong together. So today, I'm excited to announce that Built Not Wished is being merged into Crusade with Me! Nothing is being lost. In fact, I believe we're gaining something much bigger. The principles that have defined Built Not Wished—discipline, strength, responsibility, health, leadership, mindset, and continuous improvement—are coming with us. Those topics will remain central to what we do. But now they will exist within a larger conversation about meaning, purpose, faith, wisdom, and becoming the person we were created to be. The future of Crusade with Me! will bring together practical growth and deeper purpose. We'll continue talking about building strong bodies, disciplined minds, and resilient spirits. We'll explore ancient wisdom and modern challenges. We'll discuss habits, health, leadership, relationships, purpose, and the daily work of becoming better than we were yesterday. Because real transformation doesn't happen when one area of life improves while everything else is neglected. Real transformation happens when body, mind, and spirit begin moving in the same direction. To every listener who supported Built Not Wished, thank you. Thank you for the downloads. Thank you for the shares. Thank you for the encouragement. Thank you for believing in the message. This isn't a farewell episode. It's a bridge. A bridge from one chapter to the next. The mission remains unchanged: to help people become stronger, wiser, healthier, more disciplined, and more purposeful. The banner may be changing. The mission is not. So subscribe to Crusade with Me!, follow along, and invite someone else to join the journey. Because life is too short to spend it wishing. It's time to keep building. Together. One community. One mission. One journey. One Crusade.

Mind: Identity Drives Behavior
You don’t rise to your goals. You fall to your identity. Most people never change because they keep thinking like the person they’re trying to escape. In Episode 47 of BUILT NOT WISHED, we dive deep into one of the most powerful truths about personal growth: your identity drives your behavior. If you still see yourself as lazy, distracted, unhealthy, broke, weak, inconsistent, or stuck… your actions will eventually return to match that belief — no matter how motivated you feel. This episode breaks down: • Why motivation alone never lasts • How your environment shapes your identity • Why people self-sabotage and repeat patterns • How small daily wins rebuild confidence • The hidden danger of modern “borrowed identities” • How to become disciplined naturally instead of forcing it This is not about fake positivity or hype. It’s about rebuilding the internal script that controls your life. Because every action you take is casting a vote for the person you believe you are. Stop asking: “What do I want to achieve?” Start asking: “Who am I becoming?” BUILD YOUR IDENTITY FIRST. #BuiltNotWished #Identity #Mindset #SelfImprovement #Discipline #MentalStrength #PersonalGrowth #Motivation #MindsetShift #BNWPodcast
Built Through Sacrifice
“This weekend, millions of people will fire up grills, head to lakes, and enjoy a long weekend… But Memorial Day was never supposed to just be about comfort. It was built on sacrifice.” Talk about how generations before us gave: time comfort youth blood futures …for something greater than themselves.
Spirit: The Energy Within
Episode 45 of Built Not Wished is an honest and deeply personal conversation about spirit, stillness, internal energy, and the modern loss of peace. In “Spirit: The Energy Within,” I open up about my own journey as a Christian, a Lutheran who deeply admires Orthodox Christianity, while also studying Taoist writings and ancient philosophies. Not because I’m abandoning my faith, but because I keep seeing recurring themes throughout human history: stillness, discipline, humility, breath, awareness, and inner peace. This episode explores why so many people feel spiritually exhausted in a world filled with noise, overstimulation, distraction, addiction, anxiety, and constant entertainment. We discuss the idea of internal energy, the effects of prayer, meditation, silence, gratitude, and reflection, and why protecting your attention may be one of the most important spiritual practices of modern life. This is not about worshipping “energy” or chasing mysticism. It’s about honestly wrestling with what strengthens the human spirit and what drains it. Maybe peace is not found in adding more noise to our lives… but in finally becoming still enough to hear truth again. This is Built Not Wished. Protect your body. Train your mind. Guard your spirit. Because the person you become… is built one day at a time.
Body Fuel or Poison
Episode 44 of Built Not Wished focuses on one uncomfortable truth: your body keeps score. Every meal, every drink, every habit either builds strength… or slowly creates exhaustion, inflammation, brain fog, and decline. In “Body: Fuel or Poison?” we break down clean eating in a simple, realistic way without fad diets, influencer nonsense, or perfectionism. This episode explores how ultra-processed foods affect energy and health, why most people are overfed but undernourished, and how small daily choices shape your future physically, mentally, and spiritually. We also discuss practical ways to support recovery and wellness through hydration, whole foods, simple cleansing drinks like green tea and lemon water, and reducing the constant intake of junk we normalize in modern life. Your body is constantly trying to heal itself. The question is: Are you helping it… or fighting it? This is Built Not Wished. And your body is either being built… or broken… by what you repeatedly choose.
Train Your Mind to Crave Growth
Episode 43 of Built Not Wished challenges the modern addiction to distraction, scrolling, and passive entertainment. In “Train Your Mind to Crave Growth,” we explore how constant stimulation is weakening focus, discipline, and mental strength — while builders are quietly developing skills, stacking wins, and transforming their lives one lesson at a time. This episode dives into dopamine addiction, attention control, learning new skills, beginner energy, and how to reprogram your mind to enjoy growth instead of escape. From video editing and fitness to spiritual reflection and daily discipline, this conversation is about becoming intentional with what you consume mentally. Your phone can distract you from your future… or educate you into a completely different life. The question is: Are you training your mind… or entertaining it into weakness?
