Why did the HBCU in Hip Hop disappear

This episode Axl and I talk about what happened to the HBCU sweater and black fist and African medallion in the hiphop video's in the early 90's. My question to Axl was where did it go and why did it stop. We try to formalate a honest reason why it disappeared and this is what came out of that.
