In an episode that was on a different type of time, we get into our movie review of Transformers: Rise of the Beast. After a down bad opening and gaming heavy What’s Hot (5:00), we kickstart our review of the movie (13:30), discussing a Transformers movie with heart, the cool action, and THAT ENDING. Then, the pod goes off the rails with another round of the infamous alien debate, including UFO footage and extraterrestrial battle orcas. To wrap up the pod, the Rogue Jedi continues his war on furries and discusses how a certain franchise connects to another through the Hasbro universe (56:40). “Till all are one!”
Let’s do this one more time! We are back dear listeners to discuss something that has been long anticipated. After a What’s Hot that includes the podcast’s one year birthday celebration (3:15), we get into a brief spoiler free review of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (9:50)! Then we go into our full review of this cinematic beauty (10:40)! After a rather eccentric start, with the first chapter of the Fallen Shinigami Chronicles, we get into our comic book bag to review an incredible story, Bitter Root (10:45). This tale covers the Sangerye family in the 1920s as they battle monsters of people who have had their souls corrupted by hatred. This leads into one of our most brutally honest deep dives as we put the jokes aside to discuss black history, the importance of telling certain stories, and the toxic cycle of hatred (42:48). Buckle up because it’s gonna be a wild ride.
And we have now returned to a galaxy far, far away for a very special task. With the Rogue Jedi, the Super Saiyan Sith, and the returning Jamie, Sword of the Jedi, we begin our journey with a What’s Hot (3:45) and a short Sponsor’s break (10:10). Then, we deal with the conflict, deconstructing and then reconstructing from scratch the divisive Disney Star Wars Sequel Trilogy (10:45).
