BB31: Politics, Power, and Wings with Buck Johnson
Politics, Power, and Wings with Buck JohnsonYou know Buck Johnson as host and humble narrator of the great Counterflow podcast. I’ve been fascinated by different takes on left- and right-wing worldviews. I still haven’t formed a firm opinion on the issue, but Buck definitely puts some meat on the bones. Buck thinks freedom-lovers should just give up the façade and happily identify as right-wing. I’m less keen on that, mostly because I land firmly on the left in the Malice test. (The Malice test asks, “Are some people better than others?” Right-wingers say “Yes”. Left-wingers give a speech.) Obviously, I’m not the kind of interviewer who has any interest in debating his guests, so my goal here was to dig in with Buck to learn to see, not to convince him to see like me. I think we did a pretty good job digging together.Buck is also going to be providing the venue for RU Texas, coming up in October, so be sure to sign up.Buck LinksCzech out Buck’s podcast, CounterflowGrab a tshirt while you’re at itFollow Buck on Twitter (he’s @buckrebel on everything, so find him elsewhere too)SponsorCheck out Paloma Verde CBD and be sure to use coupon code blackbird at checkout to get 25% off your order!
