Pastor Chris starts his sermon by discussing verse 42 of Mark 9, where Jesus says that it would be better for someone who causes one of his children to stumble to have a millstone hung around their neck and be thrown into the sea. He explains that "scandalizo" means something that shocks or leads someone astray from the right path. Jesus takes the treatment of his followers very seriously, as seen in Matthew 25 where he says that not doing for the least of these is equivalent to not doing it for him.
Chris then moves on to discuss verses 43-48, which talk about cutting off hands, feet, and eyes if they cause one to stumble.
