In this episode of Beyond the Sidelines, Connie and Nicky sit down with Gina, the heart and soul of Cambridge Rangers. As the club's coach and first team manager, Gina has been part of the Rangers journey since its inception over 20 years ago, helping to build not just a successful football club, but a close-knit football family.
Originally from Australia, Gina shares the story of her move to the UK, how football helped her settle into a new country, and the lifelong friendships she's made along the way. She reflects on her own playing career, including the proud moment she earned her County Cap, before stepping into coaching and management.
From guiding Cambridge Rangers through unforgettable seasons to lifting a major cup trophy, Gina has played a huge role in shaping the club's history. She talks about the highs and lows of managing grassroots football, the joy of coaching so many talented players over the years, and what keeps her passion for the game burning as strongly as ever.
Join Connie and Nicky for an inspiring, funny, and heartfelt conversation with one of the people who has helped make Cambridge Rangers the club it is today.
