Helen Boyd joins me to talk all about what charities look for in their trustees. Helen is Centre Manager of Smart Works Newcastle, a charity providing interview clothing and coaching to unemployed women across the north east. Helen has been with Smart Works for 6 years, after starting her “squiggle” career in retail, then recruitment and spending time working overseas. Prior to Smart Works, Helen worked for charities in London for 8 years before returning home to Newcastle and starting at Smart Works soon after.
