In this episode of Beyond the Bell: Common Threads, Mr. Pina and Ms. Arzt are joined by Mr. Joseph Sprague, Principal of Bordentown Regional Middle School, for a reflective conversation on leadership, school culture, and student growth. The discussion begins with one of Mr. Sprague’s favorite educational quotes and explores how mindset shapes decision-making at both the adult and student level. Together, the group examines the intentional work behind building a positive school culture and the ways schools can empower students to engage in meaningful self-reflection and make positive choices. Episode 11: Harassment, Intimidation, and Bullying (HIB): A Brief Description
In this special episode of Beyond the Bell, Ms. Arzt and Mr. Pina provide a brief overview of what Harassment, Intimidation, and Bullying (HIB) looks like in schools and what the school community should understand about the process. The conversation focuses on how the State defines HIB, common characteristics of HIB situations, and a general outline of how schools respond when concerns are raised. This episode is intended to offer clarity and transparency around the inner workings of the HIB process. As a reminder, this is not an exhaustive explanation of every scenario or outcome. Instead, it serves as a high-level overview to help families better understand expectations, procedures, and the school’s role in supporting students. For specific questions or concerns, families are encouraged to contact their school directly.
Episode 10: Music, Momentum, and Mr. Lutz
In this episode, we look ahead at upcoming November events.
