The Bible refers to two types of rest, one implicating completion of work while the other exhaustion. In Genesis chapter 2 God rested after creating the universe and every living thing within it. God marked the seventh day as the sabbath. He made it Holy. Even today, God invites His children to meet with him every Sunday.
