por Brent Bates and Andre Moye
Brent and Dre are back a few days after the dust settles and Marshon Lattimore is a member of the Commanders! They discuss how this trade affect the defense moving forward and if this is a move that says the team is all in on a deep playoff run! Then the duo talks about the matchup Sunday agsinst the Russell Wilson led Steelers, how Pittsburgh hasn't beaten a team of note yet. This will be a test for both teams as the Commanders will see the toughest defense they will face all year, and the Steelers defense won't see a better offense until deep in the playoffs. The defensively unsure whether Lattimore will dress Sunday, can the Commanders pass rush disrupt Russ, and contain the run enough that we're able to get to 8-2. Brent and Dre then have a discussion about how terrible the schedule is playing Pittsburg Sunday, and then traveling to Philly in 4 days for Thursday Night Football.
Brent and Dre are back as the Commanders beat the Giants on the road for what feels like the first time in five years, and while they are excited with the win with wanted more blood! The matchup wasn't as close as the score showed, but the thought process is the Commanders are focused on the upcoming stretch of the Steelers, and Philly. They talk about how the defense struggled against the run which lead to the Giants being able to make the score look better in the second half, but how JD5 and the offense were in complete control of the entire game. The also speculate about the different routes the team can take that the trade deadline, and names to look out for.
Brent and Dre are to celebrate the win and compare JD5 and Caleb's game against each other. The poise of JD versus the inconsistency of Caleb, then the last second Hail Mary as the Commanders take the victory as time expires. Then of course the talk about annoying Bears fans and what they can say the rest of the season now the this matchup was won by Daniels.
Brent and Dre are back late Saturday night to preview the Commanders matchup against the Bears, unsure if Daniels will play or not. Which causes a rift between the two hosts, Brent feels if Daniels doesn't play the game will be a blowout loss and Dre think the matchup will still be close. The two breakdown how the offense will look with and without JD5 in the lineup, and how the run game can be effective against the Bears the defense that's struggled against that this season. Then the talk about how the Commanders defense needs to generate pressure against Caleb but also be mindful of Swift in the run game to slow down the pass rush. They finish off talking about the Wizards who start the season off 0-2, and headed towards what they hope to be a Top-2 pick in the NBA Draft this coming season.
Brent and Dre are back after the Commanders destroy the Panthers at home even after JD goes down on the first drive. The news that Jayden is week to week with a non-disclosed rib injuries, it seems like Daniels will be healthy enough to play on Sunday. The Duo glosses over the win because the Panthers are so bad, after giving kudos to some players that stood out to look back over the season so far. Then they look forward to really wonder if healthy how many wins the Commanders can get this season. Finally the talk about the NBA season starting this week with a very brief Wizards conversation, and who they think is will make the finals this year.
Brent and Dre are back as the Commanders return home to try to extend their winning streak to four games with a win over the Browns! Both Brent and Dre acknowledge that this is the best defense Jayden and the Commanders have faced all season thus far. But with how effective the run game has been and how poor the Browns are against the run, the Commanders should be able to defend home field. The two discuss the concerns that the Cleveland secondary will present and that there will be less of an aerial attack than we have seen over the past few weeks. Then, they discuss how Myles Garrett and the Browns' defensive line could wreck the game. On the opposite end of the ball, they expect the Commanders' defensive front to build off the momentum they picked up against the Cardinals last week and keep Deshaun Watson playing poorly. After both predicting a win for the Commanders, they talk about how open the NFC is this season and how there is potential for the team to make a lot of noise as the season progresses.
Brent and Dre are back celebrating a huge win in Arizona on Sunday! The Commanders dominated the Cardinals in every aspect of the game for four quarters as Jayden Daniels shines once again! Brent and Dre discuss how this historic QB run JD is on has been, and why the sky is the limit on his potential, and how he is slowly raising the ceiling on the season. They then give the defense props for standing up against an offense that was showing well to start the season. Then the duo talk about what's going on the East, and why there is a small chance the Commanders to finish on top! Also there is a small chance the Commanders vs Ravens game could be flexed into Sunday in a few weeks.
Brent and Dre are back to the talk about the matchup on Sunday in Arizona. Apparently the Cardinal fans believe that there is no reason they should lose to Washington, and Dre is confused to where their confidence is coming from. Brent and Dre talk about how similar the two teams actually are on both sides of the ball before the end up in a debate about how good the rest of the NFC East is. The finally get back to the Commanders matchup and have the team leaving the desert 3-1, but will that actually play out on Sunday.
That Monday night game will be one that Brent and Dre remember for a long time! Jayden Daniels shows why he's the QB of the future, linking with Terry downfield, answering Joe Burrow point for point, and showing poise on a game clinching drive while setting records! The defense might be a problem for the remainder of the season, but the offense is real! Jayden is better than we thought, and the future looks bright in DC!
Brent and Dre are back after a few weeks, and there are some technical issues. The Commanders' record is what Brent predicted, but Dre is still optimistic about his predictions even though the defense struggled out of the gates the first two weeks. Both Brent and Dre discuss the NFL's overall offensive woes but then juxtapose that against what Jayden Daniels does well when facing certain defensive looks. Then, the duo previews the Bengals' Monday Night Matchup. Brent thinks it will be an offensive shootout, and Dre is just hoping the Commanders don't get embarrassed. Finally, they end with a discussion between Nabers and Marvin Harrison Jr. of who will be OROY and who is better.
