🚨NOW STREAMING🚨 🎙️EPISODE ~ The Music Producer Everyone Wants!
If you’ve been outside for Carnival, you’ve heard his work — even if you didn’t know his name.
XplicitMevon (Mevon Soodeen) is the producer everybody’s calling when they need a riddim that moves crowds… and in this episode, XplicitMevon gets real with Basia about why he wanted to share his story on the #1 Caribbean North American media platform, Basia TV Podcast; how he became one of the most sought-after names in Soca; and how he’s redefining and helping push the Soca genre globally.
And BasiaTVPodcast couldn’t ignore the wave. We had to sit down with him!
🎙️ In this conversation, XplicitMevon breaks down:
🔥 The story before the studio… who Mevon was before the music
🔥 Why he walked away from his “government job” to bet on himself
🔥 How COVID became the RESET that changed everything
🔥 The exact moments that took him from “up next” to industry!
🔥 What defines the Soca sound — and the ingredients of a true anthem
🔥 A fun, fast-paced, Z Corner with RJ segment 🎯
🔥 And our signature “Last Last Question” to close it out...
Because culture doesn’t move by accident.
It moves because somebody is in the studio at 3AM shaping what the world dances to.
