May 12, 1998. A single-vehicle crash on a lonely stretch of Arklay Mountain Road leaves 31-year-old real-estate golden boy Grant Bitmen dead behind the wheel of his Grand Cherokee. At first it looks like a tragic accident — until the autopsy reveals the truth: Grant was already dead from suffocation before the car ever left the road.
