But those clouds are about to crack open.. And when they do, temperatures are going to soar. Central Arkansas starts with a slight chance of showers before 7 A.M. Then the sun breaks through. You'll hit 71 degrees this afternoon. That's a 39 degrees-degree jump in just a few hours. Tonight you'll settle at 43 under mostly clear skies. Northwest Arkansas is already seeing breaks in the clouds. Highs top out near 70 with a gentle north breeze at 5 to 10 miles an hour. Lows tonight fall to 42.
