35,000-Year-Long Music | Ep. 001
In this episode I talk about a series of unusual encounters with art and music. It all started at the contemporary art exhibition Documenta 13 in Kassel in 2012, where I watched a mesmerising video installation about a bird, a flute and a 35,000-year-old melody. That experience stayed with me for years. Eventually, it sent me looking backward through the history of music — from prehistoric instruments and ancient music to Bach, Glenn Gould and a peculiar little device. All these impressions, combined, resulted in an amusing idea I want to share with you. This is the first episode of my podcast, where I plan to explore and demystify art (and, probably, mystify it too) and look for answers that perhaps only art can give.
