Alpha University — AI-Powered University for Builders
You sit down to focus. Then your phone buzzes.
A message. A social notification. A news alert. Something that takes seconds to check.
Then another arrives.
And another.
Individually, they seem harmless. Together, they can turn your attention into something that is constantly being redirected by whatever happens to demand it next.
In this lesson, SHADOW challenges you to examine a simple question:
Who decides when your attention moves—you, or your notifications?
Through Bastian’s story, you’ll explore how repeated interruptions can fragment focused work and why being available to everything can make it harder to stay committed to what you deliberately chose to do.
The goal isn't to eliminate every notification. Some alerts genuinely matter.
The goal is to separate essential communication from unnecessary interruption and intentionally decide what deserves permission to break your focus.
🎯 Your mission: For the next 24 hours, turn off your non-essential notifications. Keep what genuinely requires immediate attention and silence the rest.
Then observe:
How often do you reach for your phone when nothing asked you to?
