Somebody paid to cremate Thomas Crooks, and nobody is saying who. FBI records turned over to Senator Chuck Grassley's Judiciary Committee, first reported by the New York Post and reviewed by Fox News, include the Bureau's summary of its interview with the gunman's father, and at the very end, one line: an anonymous donor paid for the cremation. According to the records, the detail came from a lawyer for the family; the father was retired and the mother was on leave from work. The records do not identify the donor, do not explain the payment, and, per Fox News, establish no connection between that person and the attack.
