DOLLY PARTON DIES AT 80: "In the Arms of Jesus"

Dolly Parton died Tuesday in Nashville at 80, and the nephew who announced it at her request said she "has lived in the light and is in the arms of Jesus." The same day, President Trump ordered American flags lowered for a full week. Chuck remembers the poor girl from Pigeon Forge who sold more than 100 million records (per CBS News), put free books into millions of children's hands, and never once picked a political side. What did she say about that years ago? It's in here.

Also in today's episode: Michigan Senate nominee Abdul El-Sayed took a shot at the Second Lady's family, and Usha Vance answered on Fox & Friends with a line that ends the argument. Three courtrooms, three directions on the ballot fight 69 days out: an Obama-appointed judge in Boston says the Postal Service violated her order, a Clinton-appointed judge in Cleveland blocks Ohio's proof-of-citizenship rule, and the 11th Circuit throws out the order that forced Georgia to redraw its maps. Netanyahu says Iran tried to murder one of his sons. Canada fires back with $20 billion in counter-tariffs. And the Danish researcher behind the CDC-funded autism studies, on the run for nearly 15 years, is expected to plead guilty September 1. Plus: 163 missing children recovered in Florida's first statewide sweep, Darline Graham wins the South Carolina runoff, and J.B. Pritzker's "governor maxing" video.
