Ep. 14 | SAINTS CHARCUTERIE BOARD! [BONUS EPISODE]

Haters have said, “There’s no way you could compare the Saints roster to a charcuterie board…” Well, we did just that in this bonus episode of the 28 to 3 Podcast (inspired by the listener-submitted, maybe intended as a joke, topic from our friend in the UK, Daniel aka @Procrastinatus). As Saints fans, we are blessed to root for a team based in one of the world’s culinary Meccas. So, if you don’t think you’re ready for *spot on* comparisons of players on our Saints roster to cheeses and meats often appearing on a restaurant’s charcuterie board, then by all means, do not listen to this episode. BUT, if you’re ready to have your mind blown and have some fun with us in what may be one of our best episodes yet, then jump in and tell all the haters what they missed! The comparisons are endless and there’s even a few unexpected curveballs thrown along the way. We can all but guarantee that this episode took this podcast where no other Saints podcast has gone before. Listen in, buckle up, and prepare to get both your Saints fan-hood and culinary juices flowing, as this episode offers a deliciously fun ride!

Ep. 13 | THE “WHAT IF?” EPISODE – Listener Submitted Topic Sparking Big Debate on What Events – had they NOT happened – Would have Altered the History of the New Orleans Saints as We Know It?

Call it the “butterfly effect,” call it Biff’s Almanac from Back to the Future Part II, maybe even call it Inception; but what event – had it not occurred – could have forever altered the history of the New Orleans Saints? On this episode the guys explore alternate Saints universes and each pick one “What If” – each of which would have franchise-altering, Saints landscape-changing implications – at least one or two more Lombardi’s, Hall of Fame candidacy for one or more current Saints players, and even could have changed who is coaching and quarterbacking the team now. (Certain ground rules apply: The “what if the no-call didn’t happen?” is obvious – we win the whole damn thing! – so no need to get into that one. Same goes for “what if Brees never gets injured in San Diego?” Easy answer there too – one we’d rather not think about). Credit friend of the pod, Daniel, @procrastinatus on twitter, for submitting and replying to our request for topics! Listen in to find out our “what ifs” in one of our most interesting, debated episodes yet!

Ep. 11 | Saints OTA’s Discussion and Recap - As a Whole, What can we Actually Takeaway from OTA’s? Taking Stock of Which OTA Observations are “Something or Nothing?”

Before Minicamp gets into full swing for the New Orleans Saints, the guys breakdown the recently completed slate of OTA’s…with a catch: We all want Saints news and content however we can get it, but do OTA’s actually offer us any real takeaways? Many observations are made and widely discussed amongst Saints media and all over Saints twitter during and after OTA’s, but which takeaways are “something” and which ones are, in reality, “nothing”? The guys get into it, and as always, drum up some interesting debate on the topic in this latest episode.

Ep. 8 | State of the Saints Defense Post-Draft/Pre-OTA’s – Talking Strongest and Most-Improved Position Groups and Are There Still Areas of Need?

While the Saints' offense boasts undeniable weapons and talent, the Saints' defense has been proven its consistency as a top ten unit the past few seasons. This episode, the guys breakdown what units and players will help the defense maintain that consistency, or even help it reach a top 5 level in 2023. Can they stay healthy enough to do it? Will the D-Line shine, even with all the key departures, new faces, and young talent added? Speaking of departures, Corey claims to have been in on Kaden Ellis from the ground floor - Nick and Max call BULLSH*T. Who do you believe? Either way, this episode covers all things Saints Defense at this juncture in the 2023 offseason.

Ep. 7 | State of the Saints Offense Post-Draft/Pre-OTA’s – Heated Carmichael Debate: Will the Offense Actually Improve with Added Weapons and a Healthy Roster?

With the draft in the rearview and serious weapons added, does the Saints offense now have what it takes to get back to the top of the league? Things get heated this episode when talking about whether added weapons and a healthy roster equals significant offensive improvement based on last year's performance and play calling…Nick and Corey throw down on whether Carmicahel's "creativity" was hampered by injuries last year or whether he needs to prove whether he even has it at all...Also, added bonus: Special Teams. All agree that last year's special teams was a dumpster fire in need of VAST improvement. What can be done to fix it?
