Knowing that Christ was raised for our justification, and seeing the results of that justification, the question is still “On what basis is justification even possible?” How can God justly declare a guilty sinner “not guilty”? Romans 5:6-8 begins to answer that question by setting the stage for verses 9-11 and the ultimate result of justification: reconciliation.
