Molly and Nick are reunited for one last We're Not Listening Episode! We decided to go out with a doozey and review one of the worst Frasier episodes ever, "Freudian Slip" from season 11. In this episode the Crane Crew get together for a vacation in the woods and are plagued by a fit of intersecting nightmares. We also connect all the conspiracies that tie LOST's Dharma Initiative to Frasiersphere thanks to now being sponsored by Peter Thiel. Suzie calls in to figure out how to coordinate plans with Los Angeles flakes and Dylan calls in with an oral dilemma.
Episode Fourteen: You Can't Tell A Crook By His Cover
Explícito
Where have Molly and Nick been? What is going on with the podcast? We don't know... HOWEVER! We can give you the last episode before we vanished. Nicholas to Roma for holiday and Molly to Mississippi for....forever? This episode we recap Episode 15 of Frasier, "You Can't Tell A Crook By His Cover," where Frasier is convinced he can judge a book by its cover. We also help someone whose partner might be in a vitamin multilevel marketing scheme. Will We're Not Listening return? You tell us- send us your problems to our instagram at @notlisteningpodcast and maybe we'll get our stuff together for the new year.
Episode Thirteen: Can't Buy Me Love
Wow! It certainly has been sometime- but we have a couple of episodes we had not put up in the tank. Today is Nick's Bday- so we are honoring him by putting up this very special previously recorded episode which covers Episode 14 of Frasier, "Can't Buy Me Love". In this episode Frasier Crane goes up for a sexy Bachelor Auction to raise funds for the widows and children of fallen police officers and ends up on a date with a supermodel. Meanwhile Daphne gets tricked into a date with Bulldog. On this episode of Not Listening-Nick tries to imagine what he would do for a classy auction date. Molly recalls the strange men who used to babysit her. This week's caller is trying to decide whether or not she wants to date a male model, who is a good communicator and charming. What a dilemma!
Episode Twelve: Guess Who's Coming to Breakfast
This week we are recapping Episode 13 of Frasier, Guess Who's Coming to Breakfast. In this episode, Martin starts seeing a woman from the building and Frasier airs intimate details about the relationship on the airwaves. Meanwhile Roz starts dating a Trekkie. A good quarter of this episode is actually a Star Trek episode as Nick details his love for Commander Deanna Troi, while Molly prefers the raw, aggressive energy of Klingon courtship. We also finally get a live caller! Alyssa phones in to talk about the sex toys being purchased on her family's shared Amazon Prime account. Truly a salacious episode!!
Episode Eleven: The Miracle On Third or Fourth Street
MERRRRY XMAS- HO, ho, humbug, this week we are recapping Season One, Episode 12 of Frasier, The Miracle on Third or Fourth Street. Get ready to get into the Holiday spirit, if that spirit is Seasonal Depression as this episode is a very bummer xmas for Dr. Frasier Crane. Nick decides he would have driven the office lush home from the holiday and Molly realizes she would have been happy with the crap gag gift. Also find out the horrific meaning behind "Smell that Dress" is! Seasons Greetings, ya'll.
Episode Ten: Death Becomes Him
This week we are reviewing episode eleven: "Death Becomes Him"! On this episode of Frasier, Dr. Crane confronts death when someone his age inexplicably drops dead. Nick and Molly also get in a staring contest with father time and contemplate how they would want their remains handled. Other things we learn this episode: Frasier's Age! Who Roz is dating! How Marty got shot! How little Frasier knows about Judaism! Niles' Medical Fetish! Get in kids- it's a hell of a ride in this handbasket.
Episode Nine: OOPS
We are back in the swing of things! This time we are skipping a little ahead to Episode 9- OOPS. This salacious gossip-themed episode has Frasier Crane reeling with ethical quandaries surrounding the unspoken power struggles in corporate America. Nick continues to be enthralled with Martin Crane, while Molly has her eyes on another daddy, Father Mike.
Episode 8: Down Periscope Edition!!!
It has been a while since our last podcast- but Avast ye mateys! We are back with a very special "Down Periscope!" viewing! Is the movie good? No. But what a delightful palette cleanser to get back into the swing of things. Also we finally answer a question from our mailbag from a month ago- Thanks Tracy!
Episode Seven: Call Me Irresponsible (FEMINIST EDITION)
The tables have turned and Molly decides to introduce the show because #feminism #girlboss. Molly and Nick recap episode seven of Frasier, "Call Me Irresponsible", in which Frasier indulges in a potentially unethical relationship with one of his caller's exes. Molly tries to be a feminist but just ends up objectifying the woman from the AT&T commercials and Amanda Donohoe. Nick talks about the age of loneliness and stands firm against the lusty draw pornography addiction. Nick and Molly realize that too many of their listeners are potentially in unethical relationships they don't wish to share on air and thusly only have one letter in the mailbag.
Episode Six: The Crucible
This week we review a very special art-related episode of Frasier; episode six, the Crucible. On this episode Frasier buys a jazzy, neo-fauvist painting by Seattle's own Martha Paxton and hosts a cocktail party to reveal it in front of the artist- what could go wrong? Molly, as an acclaimed post- internet, new media, transmedia, performa-ceramist-bio-horror artist offers up much sought-after advise. Nick, as a collector of Molly's art, (as well as an accidental collector of art girlfriends) helps artists hone their craft to please hip west-coast yuppie collectors. What couldddd go wrong? Special guest is DJ/Artist extraordinaire @water_feature as well as some mail bag inquiries.
