Howard, formerly a world-renowned sports trivia expert, was one of Garrett's mentors at ESPN. Howard worked at ESPN for 26 years and eventually became a Coordinating Producer who led the network’s research department. He and the late, great, SportsCenter Anchor Stuart Scott co–starred in the widely popular ESPN’s "Stump the Schwab" show originally aired in the mid–2000s.
