Great storms in life provide great opportunities to trust in our great God. But they also become opportunities to fear. Sometimes the waves of life loom large over us, and they appear to be more than we can handle. But above the storm stands the Sovereign Lord who commands the sea, and it obeys him. What does it look like for disciples to follow Jesus, specifically in the midst of difficult circumstances? Part of what it means to follow Jesus is to respond to all of life with faith in the all Sovereign God. Mark 4:35-41 asks the question, will you cower in fear of the circumstances around you, or will you trust in the Sovereign Lord to deliver you?
