Good morning! I'm Aaron Jolly. And welcome to the Virginia Weather Podcast — it's Sunday, February 22nd. Folks, we've got a serious situation unfolding today. A coastal storm is about to slam Virginia. And if you're on the Eastern Shore, you need to hunker down now. This is blizzard-level stuff. The Eastern Shore is under Blizzard Warnings starting at 1 PM today. We're talking 12 to 16 inches of snow in Maryland, 4 to 8 inches on Virginia's side. But here's the real danger — wind gusts hitting 55 to 60 miles an hour right along the coast. That's hurricane-force, people. Whiteout conditions, downed trees, power outages. If you're in Accomack or Northampton Counties, don't travel tonight. Period. Hampton Roads, you're not off the hook. Rain flips to snow this evening as temperatures crash from 44 degrees this morning to 33 by tonight. Wind gusts hi ...
