Between Dec. 12 and 14, 2015, the Nigerian military unleashed an attack on members of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria in Zaria. When the incidents occurred, the military claimed that the Shia Muslims attempted to assassinate former Chief of Army Staff, Tukur Buratai. Many years later, families still suffer the aftermath of the massacre.
