In this episode we visit Leyton Boundary Garden and speak to Mareeam, who is one of the growers there. We speak about farming in Bangladesh, the Muslim women’s gardening club, growing for sanity, and suitcases full of lemons. As her children water the broad beans, we sit on the ground together in the shade of the fruit trees to chat.

Maraeem is also a facilitator and community organiser with The Waltham Forest Right To Grow Campaign - a group who’ve been working to get the council to let people grow food on disused public land, and support people to build small gardens with their neighbours.
