He has delivered his night vision, his shaking bones, his whispering spirit, and now he presses forward into what he believes is the compassionate conclusion of everything he has been building. And the cruelty of this chapter — the thing that makes it so much harder to dismiss than simple bad advice — is that it contains some of the most beautiful theology in the book of Job.
