The current National Debt is over $34 trillion.  That’s about a quarter-million dollars for each tax paying American.  A former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff is on record saying the national debt has become perhaps our top national security threat.  

Is the United States Government spending responsibly?  Is it the right time to provide $25,000 in grants to surfers in Communist China or $500,000 in grants to study gambling pigeons at Reed College in Oregon?  

How about $75,000 in grants to determine which types of lizards are least likely to be blown off trees by a leaf blower or close to a half-million dollars to facilitate gender transitions in monkeys?
