Notas del episodio
Pledge of Allegiance Day is observed on December 28 to honor the pledge formally recognized by the U.S. Congress in 1945. The pledge expresses loyalty to the flag and the principles of one nation, liberty, justice, and unity. First recited publicly in 1892, it evolved through revisions, including the addition of the words “under God” in 1954. The pledge is recited in schools, government meetings, and naturalization ceremonies, following guidelines outlined in the U.S. Flag Code. While participation cannot be forced, the pledge remains an important expression of patriotism for many Americans. Promises and oaths, like the Pledge of Allegiance, remind us of the importance of commitment, integrity, and honoring the principles we choose to uphold.
