It is well with my soul. The soul of man. It is spirit. God searches our heart (our soul). He sees what is real and true. He sees what we cannot see. Jesus actually lives in the soul along with the believer. It's a work of God. A miracle. The new creation of Jesus.

That's who the believer is in Christ--Fused with God in the spirit. This powerful union is an eternal union with Christ. A new man or woman exists because of work of the Holy Spirit within us. "Many Christians are so distracted from what's really important. The material realm dominates their thinking most of the time in their lives.
