TLC’s new show Milf Manor has Tawny and Maria unpacking dating age gaps, internal misogyny and the suppression of women in the 90s. Tawny reflects on ways the boys were allowed to make the girls uncomfortable when she was in school and how weird it is to look back on. Maria talks about what it was like being a young mom who spent a lot of time with teen boys and the types of behaviors she wish she wouldn’t have overlooked. Tawny is convinced that growing up on only sitcoms ruined Maria’s ability to enjoy television and the battle of “how terrible is reality TV” returns.
