In order to have a Solar Eclipse New Moon, or a Lunar Eclipse Full Moon, the Nodes of Fate have to be within 18 degrees of the Sun and the Moon. In order to have a Total Solar or Lunar Eclipse, the Nodes have to be within 9 degrees of the Sun and the Moon.
