Jodi Arias and Travis Alexander were involved in a tumultuous and ultimately tragic relationship that ended in one of the most infamous murder cases in recent history.

After meeting at a Pre-Paid Legal Services convention, Arias and Alexander quickly became romantically involved. Despite the physical distance between them—Arias lived in California while Alexander was in Arizona—their relationship intensified. Arias converted to Mormonism for Alexander, and they began an on-and-off relationship that was both passionate and troubled.

The relationship between the couple is often cited as an example of how passion, jealousy, and obsession can lead to tragic outcomes.
